How to give your Brunswick property summer sale curb appeal
Ready to sell your Brunswick home? Think again. This summer, ensure your curb appeal is up to scratch before hitting the market.
If you live in Brunswick you'll already know that our amazing suburb is jam-packed with incredible places to eat. What you might not know is that Brunswick is also home to some of the premier purveyors of fine-fried doughy treats in Melbourne.
If you're looking for a fix turn to these three establishments to find the best donuts in Brunswick.
1. All Day Donuts
When is the best time to eat donuts? All Day. This aptly named donut shop has become legendary among fried-food fans in Brunswick, with the strawberry cheesecake and salted caramel flavours the popular favourites.
The shop is open for more than 12 hours a day over the weekend and from midday onwards during the week, so no matter when you're hankering for a donut this is a great place to come. All Day is also planning to open an online store and offer delivery so you can eat donuts without even leaving your office chair/couch.
2. Sweet Evelyn
Sweet Evelyn does an incredible job of catering to Brunswick's sweet tooths. The normal menu features classics like chili scrambled eggs and trusty smashed avo but their donuts and pastries are what you should visit for.
The donuts change every day but when we dropped in we loved the custard-filled brioche variety. These doughy masterpieces are the perfect combination of crispy and pillowy, sweet and every-so-slightly savoury. If for some inexplicable reason you're not looking for a donut, Sweet Evelyn also has a hazelnut Nutella scroll that will bring tears of joy to your eyes.
3. Daniel's Donuts
Pop-up bars and eateries have been widespread in Melbourne for years. Pop-up donut stores, however, are a completely new thing. That's why Brunswick residents should be jumping for joy that the iconic Springvale store – Daniel's Donuts – is popping up in Brunswick's Barkly Square for 31 short days over July.
The original Springvale store gained media attention for the long lines that often formed outside its door and because they used 2.4 tonnes of Nutella to make donuts in 2015. We expect similar antics from the Brunswick opening so make sure you get down there early to enjoy Daniel's Donuts before they shut up shop in August.
We love our suburb. From its donut shops, bars and eateries, to its character homes and colourful locals. For advice on all things Brunswick or for help finding a home here, get in touch with the team at Ray White Brunswick today.
