How to give your Brunswick property summer sale curb appeal
Ready to sell your Brunswick home? Think again. This summer, ensure your curb appeal is up to scratch before hitting the market.
Whether we live in the suburbs of Melbourne or out in the regional areas, trees are an important part of our everyday lives. Not just because of the oxygen they produce, either.
In fact, a study published this year in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences journal showed that children's thinking skills might be improved by living in a space filled with greenery.
So if you're on the look out for real estate in Coburg, Pascoe Vale or Brunswick, you might want to consider getting involved with National Tree Day.
National Tree Day 2015
Celebrating 20 years of planting new trees, National Tree Day (NTD) from Planet Ark is a countrywide celebration of our tall, swaying tree friends. According to the event's website, over 250,000 people annually take part in NTD, gathering at around 3,000 sites around Oz. Thanks to their combined efforts, over 21 million trees, shrubs and and grasses have been planted, adding to the overall loveliness of our towns and cities.
This year's event takes place on July 26, with a planting event happening in Essendon – just next door to your future Brunswick property. Of course, you don't need an excuse to appreciate nature here in Melbourne if you happen to miss the event.
Some of the city's best parks are literally right next door to the area, including both Royal and Princes Park. The former is also the setting for Melbourne Zoo, a fantastic family attraction for the kids to get that little bit closer to nature's most adorable creatures.
There are plenty of other natural spaces in the area, too, with trees to offer shade on a sunny day – ideal for a picnic outside.
