New Developments For Brunswick

By Jamil Allouche

Those who own property in Brunswick or who are perhaps looking for a family home or investment property in the area may be interested in the number of community initiatives and developments cropping up in the suburb.

For example, certain parts of Brunswick are to receive a new digital telephone service as part of a roll out of high-speed internet.

Not only this, but Moreland Council is also consulting with the public on the proposed Clifton Park Skate and BMX Facility. The first consultation session took place on November 27, and according to the council, the general public consensus was that this could be a great addition to the area for families.

It was also believed it could provide the Brunswick area with something iconic and unique, which would add value to the suburb.

Currently, the skate facility is planned to have a clover-style bowl with three different heights, as well as a plaza-type area surrounding it, with existing Brunswick features like red brick paving an integral part of design.

Further consultation is scheduled to take place once the concept plans reach a more developed stage. After this, construction will begin in approximately June 2014.
