How to give your Brunswick property summer sale curb appeal
Ready to sell your Brunswick home? Think again. This summer, ensure your curb appeal is up to scratch before hitting the market.
Families looking for properties in Pascoe Vale have even more reason to settle in this quaint Melbourne suburb than they might have first thought. The suburb's Westbreen Primary School is getting $1million and Briar Hill Primary will get nearly $500,000 in government support, State Education minister Martin Dixon announced today.
During a surprise visit to Westbreen, Mr Dixon told students and teachers that the funding would go to improve facilities at the school, the Herald Sun reports.
Although the funding will not allow the school to completely rebuild, it will allow continued refurbishments. Over the past three state budgets, the school has gotten a total of $664,000 for such updates, school principal Tony Cerra told the news outlet.
The $493,000 allocated to Briar Hill Primary will support the upgrading of the main classroom wing, specifically the roof. The school's principal, Meron Drummond, said she and her colleagues are "very, very happy" about the funding.
The great schools in Pascoe Vale are just one part of the community feel that makes it such a great place to raise a family. Children can often walk to school through the suburb's safe neighbourhood streets, and there are plenty of parks and reserves for after school activity.
