Created as a space for creativity, Handsome Her is all about responsibility and accountability. As such, they don't do takeaway cups, preferring to lend their customers an emergency mug if needed. The menu is entirely vegetarian – even when they mention bacon! Every item is plant-based which means this bacon is safe to eat.
They also have a great selection of herbal teas and super healthy smoothies to wash it all down with. If you're feeling brave, there are a few different options to try, such as the Taro Latte or the Pumpkin and Banana Smoothie.
Serving up Asian-inspired dishes from small eats to warming curries and health-conscious wholefood bowls, Vegie Bar has a wide-ranging menu bound to satisfy every vegetarian. The drinks menu is full of healthy options – with smoothies and kombucha amongst the offerings. Vegetarians who also like gluten- or lactose-free options are in luck too.
We like the communal tables and the option to finish it all off with cake! It's situated slightly over the border in Fitzroy but still within easy dinner distance. They also do take away if you don't have time to stop, and are open through lunch into dinner until late.
