Getting Around Brunswick

By Jamil Allouche

One of the great things about living in Brunswick is that this suburb is generally regarded as having one of the best and most efficient public transport systems in all of Melbourne.

If you are interested in real estate in Brunswick, it might be worthwhile reading up on the various bus and train services that are available.

The Brunswick Railway Station is located near Victoria Street and Sydney Road, and is part of the Upfield railway line. This means it is perfect for people looking for an easy way to get into the city or out towards Roxburgh Park.

The Jewell and Anstey stations are also located in Brunswick, and also run on the Upfield line.

Should you prefer, there are also several tram lines which run throughout Brunswick and offer a fun and unique way to get around town.

Perhaps the best part of Brunswick however is that it is mostly nice and flat, and therefore perfect for cycling – there really is no better way to get some fresh air and exercise.

If you do decide to get biking in Brunswick, make sure you stick to the designated cycle lanes where possible and be sure to fit your bike with a light or wear a high visibility vest when cycling at night.

Sports fans new to the Brunswick area are in luck as well, as the range of fantastic transport options available make getting to and from Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium very easy.

That means you’ll be able to cheer on the mighty Carlton FC at their home games all season long.
